BAT South Africa is the only large-scale tobacco manufacturer producing locally in South Africa. We buy locally grown tobacco leaf, supporting  commercial tobacco farmers, emerging farmers and  agricultural jobs. We are a BBEEE level  5 company, employing  970 people directly. We are part of  the British American Tobacco Group,  a leading, multi-category consumer goods business. BAT South Africa forms part of British American Tobacco plc’s  APMEA region and the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) area.

We are the leading manufacturer of cigarettes in South Africa  and market  quality brands, including Dunhill, Pall Mall, Rothmans and Peter Stuyvesant.  Our Head Office is located in Cape Town.
