Sustainability Report 2010
In March 2011 we published our latest Sustainability Report, marking our 10th year of reporting. BAT awarded top prize for Sustainability performance at COP 17
British American Tobacco (BAT) received recognition from the Global Carbon Disclosure Project for our Sustainability performance at COP 17 on Tuesday 6 December 2011. In addition, the company received a 4th place Gold Certificate for its carbon disclosure.

What do illegal cigarettes really cost our country?
Every year, over R3 billion in tax revenue is lost due to illegal cigarettes. That's the equivalent of the cost of more than 44 000 new policemen or 60 000 new homes.
